Q: IS THE EVENT TIMED?
This is a
non-timed event, classified as Driver Training. It's intentionally designed to be non-competitive so drivers can safely experience the track.
While timed events can be fun, they often encourage overly aggressive driving, increasing the risk of incidents. We aim to avoid that.
Q: WHAT ARE THE SCRUTINEERING REQUIREMENTS?
All vehicles must be presented for scrutineering and meet Motorsport Australia’s General Requirements, including:
- All loose items (e.g. spare wheels, toys, luggage) must be removed. This can be done on the day.
- The battery must be securely fastened.
- Seatbelts must be fitted and comply with current Australian Standards and the Road & Track Drivers Club Inc.
- Helmets must display an Australian standards sticker.
- No visible oil leaks.
Q: WHAT TO WEAR?
Drivers must wear clothing that covers from neck to wrist and waist to ankle (long-sleeve tops and pants), along with closed shoes while driving.
Q: DO YOU NEED A MOTORSPORT AUSTRALIA LICENCE AND A FIRE EXTINGUISHER?
A Motorsport Australia Licence is required, but we include it at no additional cost.
A fire extinguisher is not compulsory, though it's recommended for your safety.
Q: WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Drivers must hold a valid driver’s licence and bring their own vehicle and helmet. Helmet hire is available for $20 but
MUST be pre-booked before the event.
Q: ARE THERE ANY REFUNDS?
Once payment is made, you are responsible for finding a replacement if you cannot attend. While we’ll try to help find one, refunds cannot be issued if none is found.
If the event or session is cancelled, a full refund will be provided.
Q: CAN PIT GARAGES BE HIRED?
Yes. Pit garages are an optional extra ($60 for the day) and highly recommended for sun protection. You can request one during registration.
Q: I HAVE A MOTORSPORT LICENCE ALREADY?
If you already hold a Motorsport Australia Licence, there is no change to your registration. The included licence is only for those without one, and no discount applies if you bring your own.
Q: CAN I SHARE A CAR AMONGST TWO DRIVERS?
Yes, technically you can share a vehicle. Driver 1 can utilise the vehicle in Group 1 and then Driver 2 can utilise the vehicle in another group but this has to be organised with the Organiser.
Q: CAN I BRING MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE?
Yes, you are permitted to bring a second vehicle but just be mindful of logistics and where to park it especially if you are not getting a Pit Garage.
